PG-13 Back with a Bang

The Locker Room was fortunate (unfortunate?) enough to attend the USA Basketball Showcase last August. It’s become better known as the game Paul George suffered one of the more gruesome injuries in basketball history. On the play in question, in which he crashed into the basket stanchion and then into the seats, it was hard to see what actually happened - but the noise….

There was a bang or crack loud enough to let everyone in the arena know that the injury was serious. It’s unclear whether this was a bone (man…) or George slapping the floor in extreme pain, but it was a horrible moment.

Paul George is all the way back #pg13

Today against Orlando, a fired up PG dropped a franchise-record 19 in the 1st quarter. He eventually finished with 27 and helped the Pacers take the W. Through 8 games, he has averages of 23, 9 and 4.5.

A testament to his determination, he is back making noise - and this time it’s music to the ears of Pacer fans.
