TBT:
Trash talking is, for the most part, a lost art amongst modern day NBA players. Gone are the days where players would spend possession after possession jawing at each other, going back and forth up and down the court.
The league has worked hard to stamp it out. Only last week Andrea Bargnani was ejected from the Brooklyn Nets/New York Knicks clash after serving up some verbal jabs to Kevin Garnett after draining a corner three.
Garnett, himself, is known as one of the better modern-day trash talkers despite the NBA’s league-wide crackdown. Last year KG delivered the greatest trash-talking moment of the last handful of years when he dished out the infamous Honey-Nut-Cheerio line to Carmelo Anthony during a memorable individual stoush.
For today’s Throwback Thursday, we take you back over twenty years to the days when trash talking was as much a part of the game as free throws and jump balls. There are numerous familiar faces from today’s NBA game to be spotted throughout the clip. Amongst others, keep your eyes out for:

- Charles Barkley (TNT NBA analyst)
- Reggie Miller (TNT NBA analyst)
- Larry Bird (Indiana Pacers Head of Basketball Operations)
- Danny Ainge (Boston Celtic Head of Basketball Operations)
